Creation_of_Space

Creation of Space is a three-phase revitalisation project beneath Sha Lek Highway in Sha Tin. For Phase 3, TETRA Architects and HAD Studio extended the earlier community spaces into an adaptable living room for exhibitions, workshops, talks and outdoor screenings.

Four adapted containers form two multipurpose clusters with three activity rooms, storage and a covered terrace. Open doors connect the rooms to the platform and lawn, while stairs and a 1:12 ramp provide access from both sides.

Reclaimed timber, weather-resistant steel and dark container cladding create a durable, maintainable palette. Green perforated screens enclose stairs and terraces without blocking light and views, allowing the building to settle around existing trees and flyover infrastructure.
