BHU_—_Basic_Housing_Unit_Design

BHU is a floor-plan design workspace developed through collaboration between HAD and noj Limited for Hong Kong Basic Housing Units. It connects base-plan editing, subdivision comparison and detailed layouts so each proposal can be reviewed against clear design assumptions.

Define and compare — Draw the internal boundary, edit dimensions and mark windows and entrances. Select the number of units and compare generated layouts by area distribution, shared corridors and planning strategy.

Review and detail — Review door positions, circulation and equipment clearances, then develop toilets, showers, beds and integrated kitchen worktops with water points. Save project drafts and export drawings and review records for further coordination.

The workspace assists drawing-based checks of modelled requirements. Site conditions and matters beyond the model still require professional verification; generated proposals are design drafts, not Basic Housing Unit certification.
